Halloween 2008

This year my range of costume possibilities opened significantly, as I now have a 'pardner in crime' for dress-up. The funnest party I attend each year (hands down) is Don and Stacey's halloween party - costume REQUIRED. These guys go over the top with decorations. Last year they had a spook-alley you had to pass through to get to the party! So the pressure is on to come up with a fun and somehow unique costume. Unfortunately I set the bar really high a coupla years ago with my Mr. Incredible. (Check out my Halloween Hall 'o shame here...)

Camila and I settled on a safe couples-costume idea for our first attempt... Dorothy and the Scarecrow.

Earlier in the evening we played around with the Harry Potter glasses we got in the mail from my sister Shauna.

Even earlier that day, we went on a scavenger hunt hosted by the Hillsboro Parks & Rec departement. This is us.. team "the Farm". It ended at a pumpkin patch.

The next day we went to a park to hang out. Can you believe the weather we are having here in LATE OCTOBER!

I love all these pictures. I want to know though how you got the first one so big on your blog. I love it like that. My favorite picture is of Camila with the trees and the hill and the little stream in the background. Halloween is so fun. Chris and I just got home from an adults only halloween party and had a blast. Halloween is just so dang fun!

Thanks! I'm a lover of halloween too.. doesn't show tho since I haven't done anything other than a costume for several years.

The picture is just embedded from my picasa photo album. They give you 3 size choices: 144px, 288px, and 400px. That one is 400px.

Great costumes! I also love the one with Camila and the pumpkins -- it just "looks like fall". How fun!!
As for our "spooky dinner", well, we've done spookier. This year I just went for easy and the kids loved it just the same. It was hard to stay vertical that day. Next year, look out! Ha, ha!

So ... the QA Engineer in me can't stop looking at the title of this post and wonder what happened to the QA Engineer in you? :-)

I love the "safe couples-costume", you two look great together as Dorothy and the Scarecrow. I have to admit that although you two are a great looking couple it is Camila's shoes that make the picture!

Haha, good call! I have several good excuses:

1) I was laid off last Thursday and have lost all concept of relative time.

2) I left QA 5 years ago and moved on to become a release engineer..

3) It's a post of things to come?

Take your pick :D
