On to Rio...

No pics with this entry. Camila is in Rio de Janeiro now, got there this morning. This is the last leg of her trip before heading to the US. Before this, she stayed with her brother in Salvador for a week. Her interview is this coming Friday, the 13th, at the US Consulate in Rio. Fortunately neither of us is superstitious.

The long goodbyes and all the delay in getting to this point is taking it's toll on my wife. Today she was in tears. Mostly tired of the travel, but also the long wait and all the goodbyes. She said she wouldn't ever put herself through all of this if it wasn't for the love and support she feels from my family and friends, and of course me. She doesn't have long to wait now.

I leave for Rio on the 24th, and arrive on the 25th. That's our wedding anniversary. We'll spend 2 nights in Rio, then head home and be in Portland on Saturday the 28th. Very exciting schtuff!

D, although I have never met your lovely wife. Tell her that there is more support than ever up her in the NW for her, you and the future. Safe travels and looking for the welcome to the NW party. Will be thinking of you guys. p
