Paula Abdul exposes American Idol

Well, I WAS an American Idol fan. I got hooked last season. I've enjoyed this season until last night when a yet-again-drunk-or-something Abdul proved, in my mind anyway, that the show is rigged. I had wondered. And I know some of you are prolly like, "Well duh!". But last night Paula removed all doubt.

The producers did the show in a slightly different format. The contestants each did two songs and the judges were asked to hold their critiques until the second song was sung. But after the first round of songs was finished, Randy Seacrest asked the judges for a quick critique. Simon went first, then Randy, then Paula spoke of Jason's first song, and then went into a very negative critique (uncharacteristic for her) of his SECOND song. Yeah, the one he HADN'T SUNG YET.

Randy had to cut her off, and Ryan tried to play it off with humor. But the bottom line is that the show is rigged. I'm less of a fan....

4 friends had this to say...:

I've never seen the show. It sounds like high drama! By the way, thanks for lending your truck to Lester on Saturday! Good luck in the triathlon!

I have never really watched that show until this year. My kids started to follow it. I didn't see it this week. That totally stinks. We were hoping the LDS girl would win.
Good luck tomorrow. When do you start? Bridget and I start at 8:15, together. Isn't that great!

I hope your wife arrives soon if you are so invested in American Idol... hahahahaha

btw, she explained herself to say that she made the mistake bc she was talking about the next singer and just got confused bc she wrote it in her papers as the second song instead of the next singer.

2nd btw, I ran into Paula in Las Vegas one night and she is a tiny little bug, really shaky bc of the medications she has to take, and I can see how she could get confused.
